Why We Built It
The recruiting process has always favored families with inside knowledge — the ones who already knew which coaches to call, what to write, and when to follow up. Everyone else had to pay for a recruiting service or figure it out alone.
We wanted to change that. Whether you’re a D1 prospect or a player chasing a D3 opportunity, you deserve the same access to information. A scholarship doesn’t care about your zip code. Neither does this database.

Your Recruiting Action Plan

Be honest about your division target. D3 and JUCO get real players to college too — don’t sleep on them.
Filter by your state first. Coaches love local talent and regional familiarity goes a long way.
Focus on assistant coaches. They do the most active recruiting — find their direct contact in the school modal.
Send a short, clean email. Name, grad year, GPA, film link. Coaches don’t need a novel — they need to click play.

We built this database to connect players with coaches — but it only works if your contact information is accurate. If your school’s data is outdated, the right player might never reach you.
For Coaches & Athletic Departments
Head Coaches & Recruiting Coordinators — send your current staff list with direct emails to coach@hoopwrld.com with subject: “Staff Update – [School Name]”
Athletic Directors & Operations Staff — designate a specific recruiting contact for incoming player inquiries and we’ll list them prominently. Email coach@hoopwrld.com
