Every run you play now builds something that lasts. Badges. Permanent proof of what you know and how you play — and the deeper your basketball knowledge runs, the rarer they get.
This isn’t a participation trophy. Nobody’s handing you a badge for showing up. You earn these. Your Trophy Case is the resume — the running record of every deep cut you’ve pulled, every letter you’ve owned, every team whose history lives in your head.
Bronze. Silver. Gold.
Every badge climbs three tiers, and the metal tells the story at a glance. Bronze is the first rung — you’re on the board. Silver means you know your stuff. Gold is the top of the ladder, the one that says nobody’s touching you on this. Three levels, and everybody can see exactly where you stand.
There’s a fourth color too. Purple. But that one’s earned a different way — hold that thought.
Eight Ways to Stack Them
There isn’t one path to a full case — there’s eight. Know one team cold, every deep cut and forgotten role player? That’s a Team badge. Same for College, Era, and single Letters. Or flip it — Team Breadth and Era Breadth reward the players who know names from all over the league and every decade. Then there’s Rarity for the obscure picks, and Streak — the one you can grab in your first week just by showing up.
Rarity Is the Cheat Code
Here’s the one to remember: the fastest climb up every ladder is naming the players other people can’t. Anybody can name LeBron. Name the guy who came off the bench for the ’96 Sonics? That’s the flex — and that’s what moves you. The whole game rewards depth. The deeper you dig, the faster your case fills.
The Founder Badge
That purple crown is Founder. You can’t grind for it. You earn it exactly one way: play before the 2027 All-Star break. Get a run in during the founding window and you’re marked as someone who was here at the start.
No cap on how many earn it. But once the window closes, it’s closed — for good. The players who show up now hold a badge nobody who comes after them will ever be able to touch.
